Lorraine Martin

Nurse Practitioner

Lorraine is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a longstanding commitment to high-quality care for older adults. She began her nursing career in the United Kingdom, qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1982 and subsequently as a midwife. After raising her family, she returned to clinical practice in general practice, where she worked as a Practice Nurse delivering primary healthcare and leading chronic disease management clinics.

In 2004, Lorraine relocated to Australia with her family and continued to build on her expertise in chronic disease management, working within hospital avoidance programs to support patients in the community and reduce unnecessary admissions. She went on to qualify as a Nurse Practitioner in 2011.

Since then, Lorraine has dedicated her career to the aged care sector, working across multiple residential aged care organisations. She has a strong passion for supporting older people, particularly those living with dementia, and is committed to ensuring residents receive holistic, compassionate, and well-coordinated care.

Lorraine’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, dementia care, and palliative care. She is focused on improving quality of life for residents through proactive health management, collaborative care, and person-centred practice.
