Driving Assessment
Getting there and back safely
Driving a motor vehicle is a complex task requiring perception, good judgement, responsiveness and reasonable physical capability.
Professional driving adds additional demands associated with the vehicle itself, the responsibility to passengers, distances travelled, the demands of work schedules and so on.
A range of medical conditions as well as treatments may therefore impair the ability to undertake work safely. Drivers must meet certain medical standards to ensure their health status does not increase the risk of a crash in which they or other road users may be injured or killed.
Please note, Medicare and private health fund rebates are not available for most driving assessments.
